Ansell Delivers Versatile New Gloves Designed for Construction Contractors

Red Bank, New Jersey (June 30, 2012) -- Ansell, the world leader in hand protection, is now introducing ActivArmr® Multipurpose gloves that deliver the right level of protection, dexterity and grip to handle multiple tasks each day.

Focus groups with general contractors told Ansell they needed a set of gloves that could take them each day from handling small screws and electrical connections, to installing ductwork and landscape digging. ActivArmr Multipurpose gloves are designed to deliver that versatility.

ActivArmr Multipurpose gloves are available in Light Duty, Medium Duty and Heavy Duty. These ‘second skin’ feel gloves are made from engineered yarns for durability, breathability and comfort.  They each have a foam nitrile outer layer for enhanced wet/dry grip and improved finger lengths for improved fit.

“We studied the needs of contractors and built the gloves to address their frustrations with glove longevity, dexterity, abrasion protection and cut protection,” said Jason Kokoszka, Senior Market Manager, Ansell Healthcare.  “This collection of gloves is unmatched in the marketplace, and meets the needs of contractors who face a variety of challenges on a daily basis.”

ActivArmr Light Duty gloves are ideal for light duty tasks such as light maintenance, laying insulation, handling sheetrock, painting, etc.  Focus group participants liked the comfort, fit and feel of the gloves, as well as the tactility, dexterity and grip.

Medium Duty gloves add, DuPont™ Kevlar ® fibers for protection, an adjustable wrist closure with pull tab and ID nameplate, and patented reinforced ridges on the palm for extra protection and durability across stress/wear areas ..  These gloves stand up to harsh abrasions* and cuts† while delivering dexterity and precision. They are ideal for landscaping, flooring, roofing, sanding, piping , general maintenance, etc.

Demolition work, woodwork, cutting, digging and handling sheet metal require gloves that deliver serious protection and durability. ActivArmr Heavy Duty gloves add patented Intercept Technology® with Stainless Steel and DuPont Kevlar for maximum cut protection and additional patented reinforced ridges across palm and knuckle for further defense. ..
