I am a University of Texas graduate who left investment banking at the right time to be part of the finance team at SUp.biz. My main purpose for joining this network is to make friends and absorb as much information as possible so that I can kick some butt in my new position and in life. Be sure to add me as a friend and let me know what book has influenced you most... I try to read 2 new books a month.

Stacey, would it possible to discuss with you about the differences’ between all of these social communities such as Safety Community, Twitter, Face book, etc.? I would prefer the telephone if that is alright, otherwise my email address is John.Miley@cox.net

Reading two books a week is admirable for sure! I recall being in that mode. I have since become a member of a Book Club. We agree to read a pre-assigned book each month and then discuss it over wine and cheese (fruit too). In addition to that book, I get in at least oone or two others. I have a ton of magazines (HBR is my favorite) that also keep me reading.

A book that has influenced me greatly was 1776. The thing about that book is all of that really happened. The leadership qualities expressed in that book by the leaders of our country at that time are lessons for not only our government leadership but our business leaders as well. I have to admit, since reading that book, I have gone on to reading almost every biography and other related books about our Founding Fathers. Lots to learn from history.

Stacey, welcome to our community.
I think Palin would make a Great President, for that manner hopefully a vice president. I've been too busy to read a book unless you want to count publications and the endless SHE manuals.

Stacy,

Hi. I think the idea about Sarah Palin interesting. Base on what I about her right now, I would vote for her. I have a nice day.

Safety - A Prerequisite

Whether working at home or outside, to observe safety should be our pre-requisite. The employer before anything must be sure of the safety of its employees especially the ones working in mines or any other hazardous places. We, all must ensure to follow safety rules and abide by them to avoid accidents. There are risks involved in certain jobs or workings but for the fear of being hurt or any threat to life, we, cannot stop working. To avoid this we must wear safety suits or make use of safety…See More
