DOT physicals are only required if the truck is 10,000 GVW but does not require a CDL to drive. The vans are similar to U-Haul trucks but do not require a CDL to drive. We found this out during a DOT audit. You just have to pay attention to the GVW of the vehicle with trailer. Hope that helps.

I'm not sure where it says it in the specs but if you go to the FMCSA website you should be able to pull it up in there.
