Posing construction workers in hot water

Remember the classic images of 1930's construction workers posing high up on a skyscraper while having their lunch? Some modern workers are in hot water for trying to re-create those images - even though they say they were wearing fall harnesses and taking safety precautions. Posing construction workers got in trouble

Are you taking in 2009's biggest safety shows?

According to OH&S magazine, the two biggest workplace safety shows taking place this year are the National Safety Congress this month in Orlando and the A+A next month in Dusseldorf, Germany.

Taking a safety program public (via ISHN)

Dave Johnson, editor of ISHN, wrote a great article about taking your safety program public.

In it, Dave writes, "Going public with your health and safety program must be more than a PR exercise to earn trust and credibility with your target audience(s). Be honest and “real.” Do more than recite dry facts and statistics. Be creative. And show a sincere interest in using your story to help… Continue

I am trying to get used to your procedures for participating. I have, for a long time, been used to participating in Hazmat101. It is a very easy to use system since everything is done via e-mail posts.
As I get used to the Online Safety Community way I will participate more.

Hi Lara,
the article about how to market yourself is superb. It waas very good written. It was a bit too long, but so interesting that I kept on reading until the end.

Thanks for the tip Lara. I have been reading through a few of your Blog Post, very interesting. Didn't get to read them all. I am at work at the moment, but whenever I find the time, I'll definitely continue reading.

Keep up the good work.
