My personal blog

A Change of Direction

It’s time to embrace my change of focus instead of trying to fight or work around it. I'm opening my scope to include lots of other things - some of which I've mentioned above. I'm not going "full on mommyblogger" (at least, I don't think I am) but this blog may certainly start to skew in that direction, and also to include more personal content than it has in the past.

Social Media Saved My Dog Again

Using social media to affect positive change is a subject that is near and dear to my heart. Most of you have probably heard me talk about my dog Jack and his recent health struggles. When Jack was stricken with a rare and hard to diagnose chronic illness late in 2008, I found out everything I [...]

Taking a safety program public (via ISHN)

Be honest and “real.” Do more than recite dry facts and statistics. Be creative. And show a sincere interest in using your story to help your web sit… Continue

I am trying to get used to your procedures for participating. I have, for a long time, been used to participating in Hazmat101. It is a very easy to use system since everything is done via e-mail posts.
As I get used to the Online Safety Community way I will participate more.

Hi Lara,
the article about how to market yourself is superb. It waas very good written. It was a bit too long, but so interesting that I kept on reading until the end.

Thanks for the tip Lara. I have been reading through a few of your Blog Post, very interesting. Didn't get to read them all. I am at work at the moment, but whenever I find the time, I'll definitely continue reading.

Keep up the good work.

red exit lights vs green exit lights

I am wanting to know  if I should I buy red exit signs or green exit signs? Does OSHA care? Is there one that is more accepted in the mechanic industry? Thanks Mary
