Hi Kevin, thanks for your comments. We currently operate primarily in Alberta, Canada, although we do share our resources (videos, safety posters, online resources, etc) throughout North America. We are a very small charity so we are somewhat limited in our physical reach throughout North America. But we do our best.

Thank you for your comments Kevin and they are greatly appreciated. OSHA has been fining companies for 20 years and to date we are still killing and maiming people. Fines are great for small companies because it dramatically influences their bottom line. For large companies, such as Fluor, Shaw, Jacobs, etc., a fine is nothing. A $300,000 fine is pennies to a multi-billion dollar corporation. Until OSHA and the government change their mindset and places responsibility with presidents and board members then employees will continue to get hurt.

Food for thought: why do cities have a police force? Answer - to enforce the laws and regulations of the people. As a middle-income baby boomer I cannot afford a speeding ticket so I drive my vehicle at a reasonable rate of speed, keep my insurance current, and insure that my vehicle registration and inspection is current. If I don't do these things then sooner or later I will get caught and will be fined or go to jail because that is the law. A fine for me, even a minor parking ticket which around here is usually less than $50.00, is dramatic because now I have to adjust my spending habits to account for a fine that was not in my budget. This is the way of thinking for small business, even a small fine they cannot afford so they do their best to abide by the law. As mentioned earlier, fines for large corporations is an after thought, especially after the lawyers get through with it.

The day that OSHA has arrest authority and enforces that authority is the day that safety will be on the lips of everyone with employees.

Hi. I am referring to the Ministry Of Labour (MOL) here in Ontario. Their regulations are outlined in the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations for Construction Projects. Its the local law for Ontario basically.
