This would be a group of like minded safety professionals who have heard the story of the fire that killed hundreds of innocent young girls and would like to honor their memory.

The upcoming 100th Anniversary of the Triangle Shirtwaist Company Fire March 25, 1911

275 girls started to collect their belongings as they were leaving work at 4:45 PM on Saturday. Within twenty minutes some of girls' charred bodies were lined up along the East Side of Greene Street. Those girls who flung themselves from the ninth floor were merely covered with tarpaulins where they hit the concrete. The Bellevue morgue was overrun with bodies and a makeshift morgue was set up on the adjoining pier on the East River. Hundred's of parents and family members came to identify…See More

Thanks Kathy.  I live in North Pole, Alaska, not "the" North Pole.  It is a small town about 15 miles down the road from Fairbanks, in the Interior of Alaska.  Temps warmed up today to about - 10 F, warmer than this weekend high of -38 F.

My Personal Safety Quotes that I use in conferences and management training programs
