Jack Guimon posted a blog post Recently I read an article in the LA Times about the tragic death of 80’s rapper Heavy D; which forced me to think of all the people that we aim to protect on a daily basis.
An autopsy revealed that a deep leg thrombosis caused a pulmonary embolism and in turn caused Heavy D’s death on November 8th 2011. In layman’s terms he died of a blood clot that traveled…

Skylights are not new nor are the dangers associated with them. Skylights were first conceived by the VELUX founder, Mr. Villum Kann Rasmussen and became increasingly popular in the wake of WWII. Hello Jack,
Thanks for sharing the residential OSHA fall protection article. The National Roofing Contractor's Association has great concerns and comments concerning this ruling. I mostly agree with Tom Shananhan (NRCA risk manager) stating that "Most falls occur when no protection is being used." Unfortunately, regulations do not promote safety, they mandate safety. It is the company management that promotes safety.
