Usually when there's some sort of certification needed or another one is coming due. Also, if I see a weakness somewhere in a program or area then that can be a factor. Also, if regulations or changed or modified I might want to seek training.
Thanks for your response to the discussion I started on safety conferences. You mentioned cost, need and location. Could you be more specific about "need"? I'm curious what you're looking for in a conference and also what you might be seeking that you haven't found yet.
