I create and develop training programs for a "Full Service" electrical contractor and at this time I have 45 years in the trade. I have worked distribution, underground, and transmission myself and now have been around electricians for 12 years. Also included in my responsibilities is the apprenticeship program.
Hey Chuck, bucket trucks, aerial lifts, etc. will be the topic of a blog that I have promised for a few days now -- hopefully I'll get it done today so be watching for it, I think it'll answer all your questions and hopefully you'll send it to your colleagues as well.
Above and below; I have other instructors for the below ground but do not pass it up. We also write training plans. HEY PA is awesome. I have lived here all my life and Bleed Black and Gold for the Steelers. It is an awesome little town to be associated with. The Steelers can bring a tear to my eye. It is a wonderful life. If you would like to I would request your resume for possible opportunities if you would be interested.
Hi Chuck. Awesome pictures you have on here. Welcome to the on-line safety community social network. I am new to this and invite you to add me as a friend. As a safety trainer I teach OSHA, DEP, DOT and MHSA courses. Let me know if you would like more information or have any questions. Frank
There are some very resource books out there and I have some but at the moment I don't have access to them. One thing you do need, is to read through the OSHA regulations from CFR 1910.269 if you aren't familiar with them. I will try to get back to you today with other resource material and I will be glad to help you with any question you may have. After 46 years in the trade, I've seen a lot of different things. Chuck
I am a seasoned Safety Professional. However, new to the Utility Industry. Can you direct me to to a good source for benchmarking the industry as well as some type of overview of the hazards, exposures and common controls, etc,...?
Chuck what a beautiful pictures you posted here! Which reminds me that we have alot of training programs toward your industry and with what your employees focus on, let me know whenever you will have the time to preview it for free. I'd be glad to share information with you! Hope to talk to you soon. Take care!
