Why do some susbstances have multiple pipe marker colors?

If you’ve ever opened a catalog to order a pipe marker, you may have noticed that some legends have multiple ANSI standard pipe marker colors. Some of these substances include compressed air, heating return, and carbon dioxide – just to name a few. So why are there multiple pipe marker colors for one substance?Well it has a lot to do with the state of that substance. Some substances are harmless in certain states, but can be considered toxic or dangerous in others. Take compressed air for…See More

Bring National Safety Month into your facility

In my last blog I wrote about National Safety Month – what it is and some thoughts on integrating outside-of-work safety topics into your workplace safety training sessions. This week I’ll continue my discussion on National Safety Month, but with a different focus – ways to “celebrate” National Safety Month in your facility.I know that we’re half way through June already, but some of these ideas are easy to pull together. Others, you may need to wait until next year to do them, but you’ll be…See More

It looks like a great place to see other people’s perspectives on safety from their industry and position. Regs are regs and we each interpret and apply them differently. The more views we have the better we can see to make a difference in someone’s life.

I thank you for your invitation. I look forward to discovering, learning, growing and sharing you with you so we can make a difference.

Thanks Jeff
