Is there a timetable that OSHA follows for follow-up on inspections? Specifically, do they have deadlines for responding to the company being inspected?

OSHA will conduct a follow up inspection if a company has not abated cited hazards in a timely manner. When a company receives their citations, they are given a due date. That date can be extended if the company contacts the area supervisor/director and requests additional time with an interim protection plan. As a general rule, OSHA will not conduct a follow up inspection until your abatement period has expired.
Depends on what you mean for a follow-up inspection. Were citations issued? Follow-up inspections are not always required depending on violation severity, abatement documentation provided, etc. Everything you ever wanted to know about their internal process and procedure is contained in their Field Operations Manual available on their website at http://www.osha.gov/OshDoc/Directive_pdf/CPL_02-00-148.pdf.

If you are referring to a follow-up inspection as in a scheduled inspection after the initial inspection has been resolved, it depends on whether or not you made their emphasis program list or not.
