I am now trying to start doing some consultancy for other companies. I am trying to determine what fees I should charge, I dont want to charge too much or too little. Any ideas? I would be a subcontractor doing H&S work.

Job Summary and Mission
This job contributes to Starbucks success by leading and engendering world class safety culture and performance. Models and acts in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles.

Summary of Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Challenges and inspires partners to achieve business results
- Conducts and ensures the completion of performance reviews
- Ensures partners adhere to legal and operational compliance requirements
- Establishing and maintaining a Safety Heath and Environment (SHE) program
- Generate and maintain SHE auditing processes
- Identifies and communicates key responsibilities and practices to ensure the immediate team of direct reports promotes a successful attitude, confidence in leadership, and teamwork to achieve business results
- Knowledge of and experience in interpretation of SHE regulations
- Oversees training and development of partners directly and indirectly managed and makes effective staffing decisions.
- Plans and manages business unit and department processes and practices to ensure that programs are aligned with the Company's business goals and objectives.
- Prepares, communicates and educates client groups and team on changes in policies and practices within the organization
- Provides coaching, direction and leadership support to team members in order to achieve partners, business and customer results

- Experience of health and safety in an industrial setting 7 years
- Certified Safety Professional qualification
- Experience implementing, developing and maintaining safety programs
- Prefer post graduate health and safety qualification
- Strong background of forming relationships with federal and state regulators. Demonstrated ability to provide health and safety leadership and coaching to plant team, peers and leadership through change process.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Comprehensive knowledge of health and safety principles, concepts, theories and practices in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong skills in process risk assessment and root cause analysis
- Skilled in influencing of teams to achieve health and safety goals
- Strong knowledge of OHSA, EPA, state and federal health and safety regulation

Notice to all Safety Professionals with a CSP:

Site Safety and Health Officer needed.

Provide a Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO) at the work site at all times to perform safety and occupational health management, surveillance, inspections, and safety enforcement for the Contractor. The SSHO shall be the safety and occupational health “competent person” as defined by USACE EM 385-1-1. The SSHO shall have no other duties than safety and occupational health management, surveillance, inspections, and safety enforcement. The SSHO shall meet the following requirements:

1. Certified Safety Professional (CSP)

2. A minimum of 10 years work of a progressive nature with at least 5 years of experience on similar projects.

3. 30-hour OSHA construction safety class or equivalent within the last 5 years

4. An average of at least 24 hours of formal safety training each year for the past 5 years with training for competent person status for at least the following areas of competency:

a. Excavation

b. Scaffolding

c. Fall protection

d. Hazardous energy

e. Confined space

f. Health hazard recognition

g. Evaluation and control of chemical, physical and biological agents

h. Personal protective equipment and clothing to include selection, use and maintenance.

Project description: Location is near Folsom, CA. Duration is 3 years. There will be a crew of approximately 80+ people.

Would more than likely be hired on a contract basis.

We need to locate a CSP, with a resume to submit, and have a commitment by that person to be willing to work on this project, no later than January 22, 2010 with a start date of project on or about the first of November. Interview either in person or by phone.
